As a knowledgable gadget-head, do you think an iTunes phone will get any traction in the market?
It seems to me that once one big carrier goes over to the iTunes music phone then all will go, since they won’t want to be left out.
I suppose the Microsoft music phone will be just as good and cost $50, just like that iPod killer Balmer promise 2 years ago. So there is that to worry about.
Of course, Microsoft vPod will no doubt be a killer piece of hardware too. Christ! they’ll have the whole market sewed up by xmas!
Whoops! Looks like this turned into a bit of a rant.
Seriously though, I’d like to hear your man-on-the-street thoughts on why an iTunes music phone may or may not gain some traction in the market place. I guess a good place to start is: would you buy one the next time your’re in the market for a cell phone?
Hey, since your cleaning out the cobs webs, you didn’t by any chance dust off that old Happy Mutt and pop out an extended version did you? Hmmm? Oh well, one can always dream.
I think Apple can market it. The iPod name certainly has momentum.
Personally I really don’t understand the point of cramming all this functionality into cell phones. I was morally opposed to idea of cameraphones. I guess they are serving their purpose though. One day I am going to run into Bigfoot and not have a cameraphone and nobody is going to believe me
The only downside I see is that Apple didn’t design the phone. I would love to see a device that Steve Jobs control-freaked from soup to nuts.

Maybe one day.

I’m afraid to touch Happy Mutt. I have some ideas, I’ll think about it. Getting a new guitar next week BTW
